Prefilled tags are a great alternative to our traditional angel-shaped tags. These tags are time-saving and easy-to-use, already pre-filled with the child’s relevant information and the incarcerated parent’s message.
How do Prefilled Tags work?
- Visit the Angel Tree app and log in.
- Navigate to the Gift Management tab and click the Angel Tree Resource Center button.
- Select Prefilled Angel Tree Tags.
- Then select a date by which you will complete your calls to families. To ensure your pre-filled gift tags are printed and shipped with the most accurate information, contact your Angel Tree families’ caregivers and update children’s information in the Angel Tree app before ordering tags. This also guarantees that you will not receive tags for the families you’ve verified that you’re unable to serve.
- Items will be delivered to your address after you place your order.
- Once you receive the tags and the gifts from your gift buyers, use these peel-and-stick tags as the gift labels.
*Please Note: The production and shipping time is dependent upon the date you select for your completion of calls to families. Once the date selected passes, the vendor will generally take 3 business days production time and then the tags will ship between 2-3 business days.

Prefilled Tags also partner well with Online Tag Taking!
While you’re waiting for your prefilled tags to arrive in the mail, you can start having gift buyers sign up to sponsor children. To recruit your gift buyers, your ministry will:
Find the Online Tag Taking button on the Gift Management tab. Share the online tag-taking link with gift buyers.
Gift buyers will use the online tag-taking link to select the child they would like to sponsor and view gift information.
Once the tags are taken, gift buyers will purchase and return gifts to the agreed-upon location.
The gift management team will wrap the gift and place the pre-filled gift tags on the gifts to prepare for delivery.
